The short version

You can read every page on this site without an account, and we do not want your data.

What is stored in your browser

One item: your theme preference, under the key idai-theme. It never leaves your device and it is not sent to us. It is not a cookie and it is not used for tracking.

What we log

Standard web server logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — retained for a short period for security and debugging.

Search terms that return no results are logged without any identifier attached. They are the single best signal we have about what is missing from the site, and they go onto the editorial queue.

Submissions

If you send a correction or suggestion, we store what you typed. Email is optional; if you provide one it is used only to ask you about that submission.

The submitting IP address is stored as a salted hash, never in the clear. It exists to group abuse from one source, and that use only needs equality — not the address itself.

Analytics

Analytics are off unless a measurement id is configured for the deployment, and the site's content security policy is generated so that no analytics host can load unless it has been explicitly turned on. Where analytics are enabled, this page will name the provider.

Third parties

The site loads no third-party fonts, scripts, embeds or trackers by default. Fonts are self-hosted.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete it: privacy@idiscoverai.com. Given the above, the answer is usually "nothing".
